RICH JAKIEL

Rich is a first generation Charlottean and first generation American. Rich credits his motivation in life to the hard work ethic instilled in him by his immigrant parents who taught him the value of a dollar alongside what financial independence can afford you in life at an early age.

Enlightened by the 2008 financial crisis and growing up in a blue-collar manufacturing town in Connecticut Rich pursued his bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Administration with a focus in economics from Assumption College in Massachusetts where he was also a walk-on to the NCAA DII Men’s Tennis team. His curiosity in the developing Charlotte economy resulted in a permanent move to Charlotte, NC.

In addition to his upbringing his altruistic spirit has led him to grow a passion for educating the next generation on sound financial literacy with the paradigm of believing that the best client is an educated client; this shared belief is what led to his partnering with Advanced Wealth Strategies.

Rich is actively involved in the local professional community and has formerly served as the VP of Philanthropy and President of the Lake Norman Young Professionals, VP Uptown Charlotte Kiwanis, and is the founder and chairman of the non-profit Queen City League.

In his spare time Rich enjoys instilling his passion for the game of tennis by training local competitive junior tennis players. He also enjoys hiking western NC waterfall trails and visiting the NC beaches with his close friends. Rich resides in the Myers Park community in Charlotte.
